NCAA Self-Imposes Sanction, Drops EA

It came out today that the NCAA is not renewing its contract with EA, meaning that all NCAA branding will have to be removed from future college football games that EA publishes. The NCAA is currently undergoing litigation as the defendants in a class-action lawsuit brought by former student-athletes who feel that their likenesses have been used unfairly and without due compensation.

┬áIt’s not yet clear whether star players like (RB#44) and (LT#20) will be present in the next edition of the series–redubbed College Football 15–which won’t feature the NCAA branding, but will feature everything that college football fans actually care about. Namely colleges and football.
